Spc Pyke back again

Lt Pham has asked me to do posts on here from time to time. His intent would be for me to be writing twice a week but we will see how that works out. Anyways on to the stuff that matters.
It seems to me that with the time passing as fast as it is that we often forget to think about all that we are missing in the states. Not so long ago I sat back and somewhat pondered the fact that 8 months I have been abscent of the United States and how many things have changed around me. At the time of our departue of the nation the gas prices were only reaching 3 dollars a gallon. Now I hear rumors of 6 dollars for premium. Its somewhat rediculious considering we see oil just spewed on the roads and the fields out here like it is water to these people. I suppose living in an oil rich enviroment would alter ones thought on the preciousnes of the substance. It would seem the worlds need for black gold hasnt reached this nation yet. Thats just one example of the changes we miss and oddly enough that one hits us so close over here its unreal. With the way things have changes already its almost impossible to think that the country which we fight for will even be the same when we get back. But with that being said I for one cannot wait to return to see what has changed and what has stayed the same
