A BRAND NEW DAY

Photobucket Website is back again or maybe I was in stale mode and Public computer would not let me have access to the site. Either way it is back and I'm glad. I will post one of my favorite pictures in Iraq so far. I took this picture (The making of Stairway to Heaven) while in the RG-33 going North back to COB Speicher in the south bound lane (going against the traffic). The Buffalo is on the back ground. I remembered back in the old day, 1LT Adkins (A&O Platoon Leader) told me that the Stairway to Heaven is going to collapse sooner or later, because it was such a perfect spot to place and conceal IED, and all of the concrete parts are all gone and left behinds are crooked steel rebar. But now, there are people working hard to renovate the Mosque and I am telling you that this country is turning around. Many of my Soldiers do not understand or believe this because they have been here several times and so many negatives thought are going in their minds but I am hoping that they will be positive again and that this time, it is going to be a real change. Al Qaida in Iraq is crumbled and they have to use woman and children as suicide bombers to strike fear to the people. Many insurgents are turning themselves in for reconciliation because their comrades were either detained or died. The Month of May, US casualty was less than Afghanistan which tells you that we are doing a really good thing in Iraq. I think none of my Soldiers read the blog, but I need you to support the Soldiers and be proud of them of such excellent job they are doing over here and that progress is happening every day.
