It has been forever

So it only seems right that with our 1 year mark coming up so soon that it would be time for another post. As much of a good sign that the 1 year mark is its also a grim reminder that there are still 3 months to go. As short a time as that might sound 3 months can still mean alot of changes and more pointless tasks. Within the platoon it feels like everyone is about to snap. Like all its going to take is one person to say one wrong word and the entire platoon will be at war within itself. Living in such conditions for a year will surely do this to any group of people even those who are the best of freinds. I will not say any names on here as that just isnt right but there are a few certain individuals who have more than abandoned everyone else. It seems rather petty to let stupid differnences tear at us like they are right now but I guess the old saying is true "high school drama never ends". I on the other hand almost stand back and laugh at it all. This might come across wrong but I couldn't care less about the drama and tension between everyone. But enough about that topic as its no fun to write about. On some lighter notes we all had to move recently. Apparently our building was to be taken over by a new group of people arriving at Speicher. Again everyone was in an uproar over it. But talk to anyone now and they are happy about it. We moved to houses that are affectionatly called "Crack Houses" cause they look like just that. The insides and overall set up isnt bad. One house even has running water and cable TV (but we all know who got that house...squad leaders, PL, and PSG). Not that I mind really. I wouldnt watch tv, and the showers arent more than 150 feet away so I can walk that far. Everyone has settled in quite nicely. We also moved our internet to the new houses and that helped everyone ease into the move as well. As for our actual work nothing has happened recently other than an IED det durin a partol. No one was hurt and the the vehicle drove back on its own, so overall no harm no foul. Other than that nothing has happend really. Same mission, differnt day really. I do appologize for being rather spacious in my writings on here. I wont lie I pretty much forgot. These things happen from time to time. But now that I remembered the site and password and all that good stuff I shall return in just time to write another update on the life and times of 3rd platoon.
